Leaves

Our next door neighbor has the most beautiful oak tree that drops TONS of leaves every fall. He was raking them all up this past weekend, so we thought we'd go over and see what Holden thought of them.

He wasn't too sure of them. Mainly just tried to eat them.
And just sat there looking hurt and confused when we plopped him down in them. Gotta dirty the boy up, right?

So, we walked back over to our yard where the leaves are still on the trees.
He loves looking at all of the colors.
And he loves playing in the grass that is finally growing in our yard. We have spent entirely too much time and water to grow grass in a very dry year. We are way too excited about this grass now. I will have to post before and after pictures of the yard so you can appreciate it too.
And then I got one of my favorite pics yet...

  1. Hi Kate!
I'm so sorry if it was terribly awkward of me to interrupt your dinner at Canyon Grill last week. I just was not expecting to see someone familiar so I just blurted out your name! It was cool to see you and Carson after so long since meeting you guys at RUF years ago and, again, I hope it was not weird of me to to stop to say hello.

Holden is adorable! Congratulations to you both :)
